I am older by another year now. In retrospect, I always thought and felt I was still a kid. But man, the number of years I have walked the Earth, I am quite old now :D A memorable birthday I had, thanks to the wishes of all my friends, my family and all well-wishers. I was welcomed into the day by friends from all corners, who called to wish me on my special day. Nice gesture it was, some in the middle of their chores, some in the middle of their sleep. All of them made it a point to wish me when the clock struck 12. What a better way to start your day than getting warmly wished!!!
Early morning I was woken up with a sweet hug from my mom wishing me a huge "Happy Birthday Kanna". Dad joined with a mild yet affectionate wish. I felt special, felt nice, its nice to feel special isnt it? :) Its nice when you can still be a kid, when your parents still sing a "Happy birthday to you" song that we used to sing as kids. Couldnt stop the happy tears when my sis called me and sang the song for me. Phew, am I getting senti already? Well, there is more :) There were friends who made me feel absolutely special too. Each had their unique way of expressing their fond wishes and make my day more special. The huge bouquets adorning my hall still make me reminiscent of all old and nice times we had.
If wishes from friends brought me joy, wishes from friends who talk occassionally added to the joyous mood of the day. All in all, I am delighted to be delighted :D
